Please note we prioritise incoming horses that need to be gifted to the Centre via our Vulnerable Horse Programme

Thank you very much for your interest in securing a future for your thoroughbred with the BTRC. Please fill in the form below and we will process your application. If your horse is successful in being offered a place on our retraining programme we would appreciate a donation to support our work, for further information please contact the office. However, if your circumstances mean you are unable to make a donation there are some spaces are available for vulnerable horses through our Vulnerable Horse Programme.

Once you have submitted the form please email (or ask your vets send direct) any clinical history/vet notes you have on the horse to enquiries@thetrc.co.uk, please ensure you put the horses racing name in the subject line. Once we have received all the information we will contact you to let you know if your horse has been successful in receiving a place on our waiting list. All horses offered a place require a ‘fit to travel’ assessment and a STREP EQUI (Strangles) ELISA blood test (paid for and arranged by the owner prior to arrival).

Please note: All horses must have a registered Weatherby’s Passport and by completing the form you agree to be responsible for transporting the horse to our centre.
