Holker Hall Pleasure Hack is Back!

For the third year running, The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre are holding the popular Holker Hall Pleasure Hack again. This year it will take place on Saturday 7th April 2018.

This unique hacking opportunity allows you to ride from Cartmel Racecourse and around Holker Hall whilst taking in some of Cumbria’s most idyllic countryside. This fantastic opportunity is to help The BTRC raise funds towards their work with retired racehorses.

The walk and trot only ride is approximately 8 miles (shorter route available) and consists of woodland trails, country lanes and park land riding with stunning views of the coast. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult walking or riding. Adults cost £20 and children £10, the cost of entry includes first aid for all riders.

Hear what some of our previous riders had to say…

  • “Our first pleasure ride – horse and rider both OAPS – thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks to everyone who gave up their time to create such a well organised event. I’m told I’ve been spoilt with starting with this one!”
  • “Thank you for a lovely day. Hope this becomes an annual event. Excellent venue and really well organised.”
  • “We really enjoyed ourselves, thank you for such a well run and friendly event!! Hope it becomes a regular thing!”
